PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diagnosing method of printability for enabling preliminary selection of a printing mask suitable for printing of each paste. SOLUTION: In this method, the paste 102 to be used for printing is put between two flat plates 201a and 201b simulating a state of the wall surface of an opening part of the printing mask and is brought to close adhesion by applying pressure. Then, the pulling power generated when the flat plates 201a and 201b are shifted parallel to each other is quantitatively measured as a shear stress by a tensile tester.
