Treatment fluids comprising: an aqueous base fluid; and a stimuli-degradable gel formed by a reaction comprising a gelling agent; and a stimuli-degradable cross linking agent described by the following formula: <?in-line-formulae description="In-line Formulae" end="lead"?>R<SUP>1</SUP>-[A]-[R<SUP>3</SUP>-[B]-R<SUP>2 </SUP><?in-line-formulae description="In-line Formulae" end="tail"?> wherein R<SUP>1 </SUP>and R<SUP>2 </SUP>may be the same or different, and are selected from the group consisting of: substituted or unsubstituted ethylenically unsaturated groups, N-acryl, O-acryl, acrylol, vinyl, allyl, maleimide, and derivatives or combinations thereof; A and B are optional bridging units; and R<SUP>3 </SUP>is a degradable group or polymer.
