ONE-PART DENTAL ADHESIVE COMPOSITION

An adhesive composition comprising: (A) a polymerizable monomer component in which a polymerizable monomer having an acidic group comprises 5% by mass or more of the polymerizable monomer component; (B) a filler capable eluting a multi-valent metal ion; (C) a volatile organic solvent; and (D) water, wherein the filler (B) is added in such an amount that the amount (X) of a multi-valent metal ion eluted from the filler per gram of the polymerizable monomer component (A) becomes 1.0 to 7.0 meq, the volatile organic solvent (C) is added in an amount ranging from 30 to 150 parts by mass relative to 100 parts by mass of the polymerizable monomer component (A) and equal to or more than 20 X parts by mass (wherein X represents the number showing the amount of the multi-valent metal ion eluted), and water (D) is added in an amount ranging from 3 to 30 parts by mass relative to 100 parts by mass of the polymerizable monomer component (A). The composition has a high adhesion strength to a tooth substance, can be stored in a one-package form, and can be used as a material for any pre-treatment of a tooth substance or as a dental adhesive material.
