A broadcasting receiver, a diagnosis information data structure and a diagnosis information display method are provided to diagnose state information about a state including the performance of a CPU composed in a host and display the diagnosed result to a user. A host control unit having a CPU(310) and a CPU information control unit(311) receives a diagnosis request for a state of a processing unit for driving an application from the outside according to a host device diagnostic protocol, and collects corresponding diagnosis information according to the received diagnosis request. The host control unit outputs the collected diagnosis information on a screen through a diagnostic window or an OSD(On Screen Display) window.
