PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation apparatus or the like enabling a user to set meaningful via-points, without wasting time at the set via-points, and to amply enjoy the course to the destination. SOLUTION: This navigation apparatus comprises a 1st input means to input a start point and a destination; a 2nd input means for inputting the genre of a desired drop-in point; a 3rd input means to input the time zone desired to stop off; a fundamental course calculating means for calculating a fundamental course; a passing-through region calculating means for calculating the passing-through region, a geographic region, by the navigation apparatus 30; a desired stop-off point calculating means for calculating the desired stop-off point within the passing-through region; a settled stop-off point determining means to determine at least one desired stop-off point within the passing-through region as the settled stop-off point; and a settled course calculating means for calculating the settled course based on the fundamental course and the determined stop off points.
