PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved stopper which dispenses with position alignment for aligning a retainer round hole with a stopper round hole or allows the position alignment to be carried out either in a longitudinal direction or in a vertical direction and facilitates assembling work, and also to provide a wiper arm equipped with the stopper. SOLUTION: The stopper holds a compression coil spring which generates a pressing force to a surface to be wiped of a wiper blade inside a retainer with a U shaped cross section coupled to the wiper blade for wiping the surface to be wiped through an arm piece. The stopper is held on the retainer against an elastic repulsive force of the compression coil spring by a rivet passing through a hole formed in the retainer. The stopper has a notch through which the rivet passes. The notch is at least provided with a first opening which is opened in the direction of the elastic repulsive force of the compression coil spring or a second opening which is opened in a direction intersecting the direction of the elastic repulsive force of the compression coil spring.
