A system and a method for recognizing an automation gate based on RFID are provided to shorten a passing time of a vehicle passing a container terminal gate and largely reduce the number of worker for recognizing the container and the vehicle by automatically recognizing container/vehicle information based on the RFID without any complex procedure requiring concern of a driver and the worker. A container reader(1) recognizes the container by comprising an antenna and a reader. A vehicle reader(2) recognizes the vehicle by comparing a tag, the antenna, and the reader. A container recognition system(3) manages the recognized container information, and comprises a device manager, a data manager, an information server, and a manager interface. A vehicle recognition system(5) manages the recognized vehicle information, and comprises the device manager, the data manager, the information server, and the manager interface. A tag database(6) stores all container and vehicle tag information received from the container and vehicle recognition system. An integrated recognition system(7) controls entry/exit of the container/vehicle by comparing container/vehicle entry information stored in a data of a container terminal information system(12) with the recognized information.
