PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve an irritated skin and produce a skin whitening effect by utilizing an extract of star fruit effective for improving an irritated skin, freckles or the like, skin whitening and the like and to remove tea incrustation left on dishes and stains on clothes by utilizing the stain removing action of star fruit. SOLUTION: A cosmetic soap is made by blending a star fruit extract into a soap base. A skin lotion of star fruit is made by blending 25% star fruit extract, based on the total mass of the skin lotion. The effect of improving an irritated skin, freckles, a somber shade part of the skin color and the like can be produced by using the cosmetic soap and the skin lotion and gloss and tension can be imparted to the skin. A laundry soap is made by blending a star fruit extract into a soap base composed mainly of waste oil. Even tea incrustation and greasy/oily stains left on dishes, which would be difficult to be removed, can be completely removed by washing the dishes with use of the soap and gloss is imparted to the dishes. By using the soap for washing the laundry, stains such as a soy sauce, Worcester sauce and the like, which would be difficult to be removed, can be completely removed and the washed laundry is made softer to the touch.
