PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vertical louver which can secure its strength which enhancing the function and beauty of the louver by mounting a plate material with translucency on a section bar with a light blocking effect. SOLUTION: In this vertical louver which has many louvers supported in such a manner as to be rotatable on the vertical rotational axis, the plate material 13 with the translucency is fixed to the louver, which is formed of the section bars 9 and 10 with the light blocking effect, in such a manner as to be attached in the state of being sandwiched the section bars 9 and 10 in a direction orthogonal to the center line of the louver.
