PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic memory capable of reducing the intensity of a write current. SOLUTION: The direction of the magnetization of a magnetic material 5<SB>R</SB>for reading for composing a spin filter in reading is the same as that of the magnetization of a fixed layer 1. In this case, torque operating on the spin of a free layer 3 becomes zero due to a spin polarization current. When element dimensions are reduced to improve the integration of the magnetic memory, the write current can be reduced according to a scaling law.
