PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a faucet with a thrust lock mechanism, superior in an operation feeling by securing a proper click feeling (a moderate feeling), while reducing an operation sound generated when operating the thrust lock mechanism. SOLUTION: This faucet with the thrust lock mechanism has (a) a rotor 86, (b) a push button 82 rotatingly driving the rotor 86 by a predetermined angle by the cam action, by allowing a driving cam surface 98 to abut on a first driven cam surface 104 of the rotor by advance motion, and (c) a rotary sleeve 84 for alternately performing a lock on the rotor 82 and a lock release for allowing retreat motion, by rotating the rotor 86 by the cam action, by allowing a guide cam surface 116 to abut on a second driven cam surface 106 of the rotor 86 by energizing force in the retreat direction of the rotor 86 by an energizing means. An inclinationθ1of the first driven cam surface 104 is set to a smaller angle than an inclinationθ2of the second driven cam surface 106. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
