A power factor correction circuit is provided to obtain a sufficient power factor correction effect by successively installing a ferrite core in a toroidal core. A power factor correction circuit includes a pair of choke coils(L1,L2), a switching element(Q1), and a power factor correction control part(100). A toroidal core and a ferrite core are successively installed to correct a power factor of a voltage transformed in a voltage providing device to transform an input voltage in the pair of choke coils. The switching element switches an output of the voltage through the pair of chock coils. The power factor correction control part corrects the power factor by adjusting voltage applied to the pair of chock coils to control a switching cycle of the switching element.
