<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape feeder in which noise generated from the ratchet mechanism of a carrier tape feed mechanism is reduced, and vibration is not generated in the ratchet mechanism when the carrier tape is fed. <P>SOLUTION: The tape feeder comprises a sprocket 31 for feeding a carrier tape, and a tape feed lever 32 for rotating the sprocket 31 intermittently through driving of a cam 21. The tape feeder further comprises a back stopper 22 consisting of a back stopper body 62 rocking between a rotation regulation position where a pawl 61 meshes a gear 34 and a release position where the pawl 61 is unmeshed from the gear 34, a spring 64 for urging the back stopper body 62 in the direction for meshing the pawl 61 with the gear 34, and a driven lever 63 for coupling the back stopper body 62 to be interlocked with the cam 21. The cam 21 is formed such that the back stopper body 62 is located at the release position when the tape feed lever 32 rotates in the tape feed direction, and located at the rotation regulation position when the tape feed lever 32 rotates in the reverse direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
