PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric motor which is downsized and by which an air gap between a rotor and a stator core is made narrow. SOLUTION: The motor includes a motor case 1 of a shape of a cylinder with a bottom, and a bracket 2, wherein in the motor case, an outer peripheral face of the stator core 3 is supported by an inner peripheral face, and the bracket supports a bearing 8 at an output shaft side, and plugs an opening of the motor case 1. The stator core 3 is pressed and fitted into the motor case 1 from the opening excluding a portion of it, and its portion not pressed and fitted is constituted to be an inlay to be engaged with the bracket 2.
