Provided are a liquid crystal display panel and a liquid crystal display device having high color purity in transmission display mode, high display luminance for monochrome display in reflection display mode and excellent display characteristics. A method for manufacturing the liquid crystal display device is also provided. A liquid crystal display panel (X) is provided with a first base body (20) having a display area configuring portion (p1) which includes a transparent substrate (21), a light blocking film (22) formed on one main surface of the transparent substrate (21) and has a through hole penetrating the film in the film thickness direction, a light reflecting film (23) formed on the light blocking film (22), a color filter (24) formed on one main surface of the transparent substrate (21) exposed from the through hole on the light blocking film (22), and a transparent electrode (26) formed on the one main surface of the transparent substrate (21). The liquid crystal display panel is also provided with a second base body (30) which includes a transparent substrate (31) and a transparent electrode (32) formed on one main surface of the transparent substrate (31), and a sealing member (40) for sealing a liquid crystal between the first base body (20) and the second base body (30).
