A method for preparing hydrogenated nitrile rubbers is provided to reduce the reaction condition thereof, for example requirements for hydrogen pressure applied, and to save a cost for a hydrogenation process, especially equipment cost. A method for preparing hydrogenated nitrile rubbers includes a step of hydrogenating nitrile rubbers in a spinning disc reactor. The nitrile rubber is an elastomer having repeat units derived from at least one conjugated diene, at least one alpha,beta-unsaturated nitrile, and optionally at least one copolymerizable monomer. The hydrogenation of nitrile rubber is performed in the presence of a hydrogenation catalyst, preferably in the presence of a homogeneous hydrogenation catalyst.
