摘要 A method for controlling angiogenesis by using IGF2(insulin-like growth factor 2) and IGF2 receptors is provided to control movement of vascular endothelial progenitor cells into the newborn blood vessel, so that it is useful for prevention and treatment of disease related to angiogenesis. An angiogenesis is promoted by treating the vascular endothelial progenitor cells with 1-200ng of IGF2 to increase chemotaxis, adhesion and invasion of the cells. An angiogenesis is inhibited by IGF2 receptor antagonist such as M6p(mannose-6-phosphate) and intracellular signal transfer materials including Gi(inhibitory G protein of adenylyl cyclase), PLC(phosphor lipase C) and Ca^2+ inhibitor. A composition for controlling angiogenesis comprises the IGF2 or IGF2 receptors and intracellular signal transfer materials.
