<p>A device and a method for managing data are provided to reduce search overhead/time by dividing/arranging an FID included in metadata of a UDF file system into a directory FID and a file FID. An input part(330) receives a data generation command in a predetermined file system. A controller(340) determines a type of the data corresponding to the data generation command. A data generator(310) generates the data by referring to the data generation command. A metadata updater(320) arranges a file identifier of the generated data according to the data type. The file system includes the UDF file system, and the data is a file or a directory. The metadata updater closely arranges the file identifier of the same types of data and arranges a directory identifier according to the file identifier. A storing part(350) stores at least one of the data and file identifier. A data searcher(360) searches the stored data arranged in order storing the file identifier.</p> |
