The method involves calculating performance of an aircraft from an aircraft actual data input file (28) and a calculation data output file (29) to obtain a resultant file (30). A reference performance is calculated from a reference data input file (32) to obtain another resultant file (33). The latter resultant file (33) is compared with a reference resultant file (34). The former resultant file (30) is suppressed and an error message is sent to a user if the result of comparison of the latter resultant file (33) with the reference resultant file is negative.
