The device has ink jet printing modules arranged above a haulage lane of a mailpiece, and a rectangular sectioned large-volume reservoir (50) closed by a removable cover (52) that is formed of flexible plastic material. A structural part has a support cavity engaging an outer shape of the reservoir. The cavity has upper walls provided with openings, where each opening receives a clip/pin (54A) of the reservoir for forming a reservoir`s fixation system. The reservoir has front, rear, right and left inclined walls (56A-56D) that extend toward an inclined base (58A) of a basin of the reservoir.
