The light has a cylindrical light tube (R) made from a transparent material, where a surface of the tube is provided with light guiding grooves (F) in a fresnel structure. A lamp e.g. fluorescent lamp, is arranged coaxially in an inner side of the tube. The grooves run in an axially parallel manner and are arranged on a lighting emitting side of the tube, where the tube comprises mineral or acrylic glass. Effective and damaged flanks of the grooves are arranged in such a manner that light rays produced by the lamp are deflected into a given, limited light emission angle.
