PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video signal processing circuit and a display device stably demodulating and processing a color without being affected by the level of an input video signal. SOLUTION: The video signal processing circuit 100 has a burst-lock interpolating circuit 3 converting the sampling frequency of a digital video signal and generating burst lock data and a YC separating circuit 4 outputting a burst signal outputted from the frequency band filter of an up-to-date line in a burst section on the basis of the burst lock data and outputting a color signal in a video section. The video signal processing circuit 100 further has an automatic color level corrector 5 correcting levels of a burst signal outputted from the YC separating circuit 4, and the color signal and a burst phase control circuit 8 controlling the sampling frequency of the burst lock interpolating circuit 3 on the basis of the burst signal outputted from the automatic color level corrector 5 and the color signal.
