PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shutter device which can prevent inhibition of unlocking of a shutter device locking device by a hand hold lever due to deposition of dust on a rotatable and movable mounting portion of the hand hold lever and a baseboard. SOLUTION: The shutter device has the baseboard 16 arranged at a distal end of a shutter curtain in a manner extending in a lateral direction. The baseboard 16 is provided with the locking device 30 for holding the shutter curtain in a closed position, and has the hand hold lever 31 arranged on the inside thereof. The hand hold lever 31 has a bearing portion 32 which is the mounting portion rotatably mountable on a shaft 46 extending along a longitudinal direction of the baseboard 16, and by rotating the hand hold lever 31, the locking device 30 is unlocked. Herein the baseboard 16 has a roof piece arranged thereon, which extends toward the inside to cover the bearing portion 32. Further the hand hold lever 31 has a blocking piece 34 arranged thereon, which extends from a location on an indoor side of the bearing portion 32 toward a lower surface of the roof piece 47, for moving generally along the lower surface of the roof piece 47, according to rotation of the hand hold lever 31.
