PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easy-to-operate vehicle seat preventing the seat from popping out forward even if a slide lock is released in a state in which the seat is retreated to the vicinity of a retreating limit and capable of grasp a slide amount. SOLUTION: The vehicle seat 11 is provided with a slide resistance adjustment mechanism 28 in which slide resistance in a downward direction is made larger than slide resistance in an upward direction between a lower rail 25 of an inclined slide rail 16 for supporting the seat in the front up state and an upper rail 27 slidably mounted to the lower rail and fixed with the seat. The slide resistance adjustment mechanism is provided with a projection part 51 arranged on the upper rail, and a protrusion 61 of the projection part has a cross section of an approximately right triangle and is provided with an inclination part 63; a resistance part 64 continued to the inclination part; a ball 52; and an elastic member 53.
