PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotating self-propelled endoscope system for preventing the damages of an insertion part and apparatuses by detecting the state when unreasonable loads are supplied to the insertion part of the rotating self-propelled endoscope and the apparatuses. SOLUTION: The rotating self-propelled endoscope system 1 comprises: an insertion part 10 provided with a helical pipe 51 for which a helical shape part 51a is formed on the surface and which is freely turnable around a long axis; a drive part 59 for supplying rotary drive force around an axis to the helical pipe; a detector for detecting the state of the insertion part; and controllers 3 and 66 for inputting the detected result of the detector and controlling the drive part on the basis of the detected result.
