A playing apparatus for a riding exercise is provided to enable a small number of users to enjoy a riding game in an interesting and active manner and to replace a traditional riding game. A playing apparatus for a riding exercise includes a case(10), a lifting unit(30), an opening/closing device(50) and a control portion. A leg portion(15) and a back portion(16) are installed on a front and an upper portion of one side of the case. The lifting unit is installed on the inner side of the case to lift the back portion. A lifting frame(35) is coupled to a lower part of the back portion, and an optical sensor is installed to sense the descending speed of the lifting frame based on the load/pressure given to the back portion. The opening/closing portion includes a solenoid inducing the locking/unlocking of the lifting frame.
