In a metal container such as a can with a seal (4) that can be partially broken by tilting a lever (5), a grid (6) supported by resilient means (8) is positioned in front of the inner surface of the seal (4). When the can is opened, the grid (6) is driven back by the seal (4) then returned to the starting position in front of the aperture on the inner side thereof to prevent the ingress of foreign bodies such as harmful insects.
