<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting device which is used for a light head incorporated in such an image forming device as a printer and copier, or for a display, and offers a light head showing uniform emission distribution and superior durability by giving a specific thickness to a light-emitting layer in a light emission area of the light-emitting device. <P>SOLUTION: The light-emitting device includes an electroluminescent element 110 serving as a light source, and a photodetector 120 so disposed as to overlap the electroluminescent element 110, the photodetector 120 detetcting the quantity of light emitted from the electroluminescent element 110 to generate an electric signal used for correcting emission light quantity. A semiconductor island region A<SB>R</SB>of the photodetector 120 is made larger than the light emission area A<SB>LE</SB>, and the light-emitting layer 112 is given a uniform thickness in the light emission area A<SB>LE</SB>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
