PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a translucent heater in which heat generation distribution is nearly uniform even if the conductive film is a shape other than a rectangle. SOLUTION: The translucent heater 11 is provided with a translucent substrate 12 with the shape other than the rectangle in a front view, a conductive film 13 formed on the translucent substrate 12, and terminal parts 14, 15 connected to the conductive film 13. The conductive film 13 has a first group of slits comprising a plurality of first slits 13a1-13an which are not mutually in parallel and a second group of slits comprising second slits 13b1-13bn which are mutually in parallel. One ends of the first slits 13a1-13an are located in the vicinity of the terminal parts 14, 15.
