PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pluggable optical transceiver which can be used with a common receptacle, even though the parts relating to a latch mechanism of the transceiver are prepared for a fixed type and a rotary type separately. SOLUTION: When replacing a bail of the rotary type latch mechanism and an actuator with the fixed type latch mechanism, a metallic attachment 4 with an engaging projection 36 which is attached to a receptacle 3 to accept an optical connector and engaged in an engaging hole of a cage, and a sliding actuator 5 with a slope 54, which comes into contact with an engagement piece of a cage attached to the attachment 4 so as to be movable and makes the cage flip up elastically, are attached. The attachment 4 has support leg parts 42 on both sides of the center part 41, having an engaging projection 48 on one side, the center part 41 is in contact with the bottom of the receptacle 3, the support leg parts 42 are in contact with the side face 35, and the attachment 4 is mounted, by engaging the aperture 43 with the projection 36 to the projection 36 prepared on this side face .
