PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a user-friendly electronic camera having a photographing mode not permitting alteration in setting of image processing, a photographing mode permitting alteration in setting of image processing, and a multiplexing photographing mode. SOLUTION: The electronic camera comprises a control means 101 having a first photographing mode not permitting external alteration in setting of image processing, and a second photographing mode permitting external alteration in setting of image processing and performing multiplex photography control, when multiplex photographing mode performing multiplex exposure is set while performing photography control depending on a selected photographing mode; and a means 101 for forbidding the control means 101 to set the multiplex photographing mode when the control means 101 is selecting the first photographing mode.
