A system and a method for editing digital broadcasting AD are provided to make a service provider and a customer satisfied at the same time by making the customer exclusively occupy the AD with an application program for displaying only the AD provided from a predetermined service provider. A controller(18) checks the broadcasting and the AD included in a broadcasting packet, and searches the new AD for replacing the included AD if the broadcasting packet included in a received digital broadcasting signal is decoded. An AD storage unit(19) stores the new AD. An editor(17) edits the new AD searched in the decoded broadcasting signal and the AD storing part, and outputs the edited AD through a digital broadcasting device. The contents including the new AD, not the received digital broadcasting signal first, are output while interconnecting with the digital broadcasting device. A composition position of the edited AD is more than one selected from a position of the present AD, an empty space, and a menu bar displayed to a monitor.
