PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic flaw detector that is superior in detection precision for internal flaws. SOLUTION: This ultrasonic flaw detector 10 is provided with a probe 14, and a control panel 16 connected to the probe 14. The probe 14 rotates relatively about the periphery of round bar steel 12. The round bar steel 12 advances along the direction of an arrow mark A. The probe 14 is an array probe. First incident waves and second incident waves are emitted from the probe 14. A direction, along which the second incident wave advances in an inside of the round bar steel 12, is different from the direction along which the first incident waves advance in the inside of the round bar steel 12. The internal flaws that are not detected by the first incident waves can be detected by the second incident waves. The internal flaws that are not detected by the second incident waves can be detected by the first incident waves.
