NONINTERLACE PROCESSING APPARATUS, DISPLAY APPARATUS, AND PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cope with diversified conditions required for image display depending on applications of and how to use a display apparatus. SOLUTION: A noninterlace processing apparatus disclosed herein is installed with: (a) a motion adaptive interpolation processing section that motion-adaptively executes in-field interpolation processing or inter-field interpolation processing to convert a video signal of the interlace system into a video signal of the noninterlace system; (b) an in-field interpolation processing section for executing the in-field interpolation processing to convert a video signal of the interlace system into a video signal of the noninterlace system; (c) an interpolation system storage section for storing an interpolation system designated through a user interface; and (d) a video signal switching section for selectively outputting a video signal corresponding to the interpolation system stored in the interpolation system storage section among video signals after being subjected to the interpolation processing motion-adaptively executed and video signals after being subjected to the in-field interpolation processing.
