PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin client system and a program for a thin client terminal which can be used in both a local environment and a remote environment with simple configurations. SOLUTION: This thin client system is provided with a network boot type system for acquiring and executing an OS program and an application program stored in a network boot server 41 by a local client terminal 11 through an LAN, a screen transfer type system for executing the stored OS program and application program by a screen transfer server 42 in response to an execution request to be transmitted from a remote client terminal 21, and a user data file server 44 configured to store user data to be used in common when each application is executed by the local client terminal 11 and connected to the local client terminal 11 and the screen transfer server 42.
