PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser ignition device for an internal combustion engine improving homogeneity of combustion and combustion efficiency by providing one or a many ignition points in a combustion chamber, especially a laser ignition device enabling laser ignition with using a low output laser generation device. SOLUTION: A plurality of laser incident end 12 is provided on an inner surface of a combustion chamber cylinder 1 of the internal combustion engine. Laser beam 16 of energy density lower than ignition energy is made incident from the laser incident end. The ignition point 21 where energy collected by making the plurality of laser beams cross in a space in the combustion chamber exceeds ignition energy is formed to ignite fuel gas.
