FUEL PROCESSOR HAVING MOVABLE BURNER, METHOD OF OPERATING THE SAME AND FUEL CELL SYSTEM HAVING THE SAME

A fuel processor, a method of operating the fuel processor, and a fuel cell system having the fuel processor are provided to improve by varying the location of a reformer burner according to a state of a reformer of the fuel processor, and have a movable burner to protect a combustion chamber. A fuel processor having a movable burner comprises: a combustion chamber(90); a reformer burner(30) of which a part advances into the combustion chamber; a reformer(40) heated by heat of the combustion chamber; and a burner moving device(92) for moving the reformer burner perpendicularly to the combustion chamber. The burner moving device is an actuator for straightly moving the burner relative to the combustion chamber. The fuel processor further comprises: a temperature sensor(95) installed on the combustion chamber to measure a temperature of an area near a flame of the burner; and a control part(96) for moving the burner by the burner moving device according to the temperature sensor. The combustion chamber has a combustion gas outlet(91) formed next to a doorway(90a) of the burner.
