<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce noises without lowering the resolution of an image. <P>SOLUTION: The level of a video signal obtained from an optical black area of the video signal output from a CCD is offset-corrected as a black level. A video signal having a level lower than an offset level used for the offset correction is considered to represent a noise pixel. The noise pixel is detected before the video signal is clipped to the offset level through the offset correction. Regarding the detected noise pixel, pixels is interpolated by using pixels enclosing the noise pixel. The noise pixel is replaced with a pixel generated by the pixel interpolation, so noises of the obtained image are reduced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
