PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolling tool and a rolling method, by which rolling tool and rolling method, even teeth having a hard-to-roll tooth shape can be accurately rolled. SOLUTION: The rolling tool 1 is composed of a pair of cylindrical dies (a first die 1a, a second die 1b), and rolling teeth 3 have a leading part 3a. Therefore, a conventional process becomes unnecessary which narrows the distance between both cylindrical dies by advancing one of the cylindrical dies by a hydraulic means, etc. in order to make the cylindrical dies cut into the outer peripheral surface of a workpiece to be rolled. As a result, the rolling accuracy can be improved by suppressing the dispersion in making the dies cut into the workpiece. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
