<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical semiconductor device which can have good operational characteristics by suppressing deposition of dust or the like, and also to provide a method of manufacturing the optical semiconductor device. <P>SOLUTION: An optical semiconductor device 10 includes a bare chip 11 having a semiconductor element with a light receiver 21 formed thereon. The bare chip 11 includes a passivation film 23 formed so as to cover at least the light receiver 21, and a conductive film 24 formed on the passivation film 23. Since the conductive film 24 is formed on the surface of the bare chip 11, electric charge on the surface of the bare chip 11 can be suitably suppressed, thereby preventing deposition of dust or the like on the bare chip caused by static electricity. With such an arrangement, a light receiving failure in the light receiver 21 can be suppressed and the optical semiconductor device 10 can have good operational characteristics. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
