<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air bag easy to set pressure in each expansion chamber and using a foundation cloth to be hardly damaged by heat. <P>SOLUTION: A partition wall 3 partitions the first expansion chamber of an air bag body 1 into a plurality of first and second expansion chambers 1e, 1f, and an inflator 6 is disposed therein so that a gas blowout hole 6a of the inflator is projected from an opening part 3b formed to a part of the partition wall toward the second expansion chamber. A flame proof part 3c is disposed in the vicinity of the opening part to surround the gas blowoff hole, and a gas inflow hole 3h is formed to the opening part so as to flow a part of gas, blown off from the gas blowoff hole into the second expansion chamber, into the first expansion chamber. Each internal pressure in the first expansion chamber and second expansion chamber is freely set by changing an area of the opening part, and pressure of each expansion chamber is easily set, and the flame proof part prevents the foundation cloth from being directly exposed by high-temperature gas, so that the foundation cloth is not damaged by flame. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
