PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator door control device eliminating erroneous determination caused by a large change in ground capacitance due to a factor such as humidity in determining a human body's approach to or contact with a door. SOLUTION: The device includes: a capacitance sensor 2 detecting the ground capacitance of a metal plate electrically insulated and mounted to a door 1 of a landing or a door 1 of a car; and a person detecting means for computing composite capacitance between the capacitance sensor and the door based on the ground capacitance C2 of the capacitance sensor detected by the capacitance sensor, the prestored ground capacitance C1 of the door and the ground capacitance C3 of the human body, and determining at least one of human body's approach to and contact with the door from the comparison between the computed composite capacitance or temporal variation of the computed composite capacitance and the respective threshold.
