Irradiating device comprises adjustable secondary reflectors (20a, 20b) arranged outside of a lamp housing (12) and partially surrounding an irradiating chamber (8). The alignment of the reflectors can be changed by adjusting devices (44) so that objects are irradiated on the surface facing away from the light outlet opening (22). An independent claim is also included for a method for irradiating objects in an irradiating chamber using the above device.
