PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source unit for an ultraviolet ray treatment uniformly irradiating ultraviolet light to an affected part by changing the position relation between an inner side tube and an outer side tube of an excimer lamp and positioning a reflecting mirror and the excimer lamp into a specific relation without receiving any restriction of an inside space of the light source unit for the ultraviolet ray treatment. SOLUTION: This light source unit for the ultraviolet ray treatment is disposed with the excimer lamp 10 defining a space 5 between the inner side tube 1 and the outer side tube 2 as a discharge space, and the reflecting mirror 101 surrounding the excimer lamp 10. The discharge space 5 is sealed with xenon and chlorine in its inside as discharge gas, and the excimer lamp is so formed that the inner side tube 1 is deviated relative to the outer side tube 2; a side having a longer discharge gap between the inner side tube 1 and the outer side tube 2 is positioned in the side of the reflecting face J of the reflecting mirror 101 and a side having a shorter discharge gap is positioned in the side of the opening K of the reflecting mirror 101.
