In apparatus for stacking-wound cops in a packing case (see Group XXX) means are pro-vided for washing the cops prior to stacking, such means comprising a wheel comprising a pair of discs 55, partitions 56 and a perforated base 57 which together form a series of compart-ments into which the cops 62 are inserted at 61 and from which they are removed at 2. The wheel is driven to move the cops past wash <PICT:0927878/IV(a)/1> sprays 64, 65 directed respectively up through the base 57 and down into the open tops of the compartments. |
