A robot cleaner and a control method of the same are provided to improve cleaning efficiency for the surface of a wall or corners and to prevent scatter of dust due to a side brush by installing a guide surrounding the side brush at a cleaner body. A robot cleaner comprises a cleaner body capable of automatically cleaning. The cleaning body has a side brush(160) at the bottom surface, a guide(170) surrounding the side brush, and guide grooves(180) guiding the guide. An electromagnet(181) is installed at the guide and one of the guide grooves. A magnet is installed at the other of the guide grooves to face the electromagnet.
