<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively straighten a curl while reliably avoiding any defective traveling property to a sheet such as a cardboard associated with the mechanical curl straightening, and damages on a sheet or an image. <P>SOLUTION: In an image forming device comprising at least a fixing device 1 for fixing an image G on a sheet 2 by utilizing the heat and a sheet straightening device 3 provided on the downstream side in the sheet conveying direction of the fixing device 1 to straighten the curl of the sheet 2, the sheet straightening device 3 comprises a first humidifying means 5 for humidifying one side of the sheet 2 fixed by the fixing device 1, and a second humidifying means 6 for humidifying the other side of the sheet 2 fixed by the fixing device 1, and the humidifying capacities M<SB>1</SB>, M<SB>2</SB>of the first and second humidifying means 5, 6 are different so as to straighten the curl of the sheet 2 generated by the fixing device 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
