摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magneto-optical recording device using synthesis of magnetic ultra fine particles and magetic polarization. SOLUTION: Uniform magnetic ultrafine particles are synthesized, and a method for producing magnetic fluids is disclosed. Adjustment is carried out by using a uniform coprecipitation method to reduce nonuniformity. Ferrite ultrafine particles are coated with surface-active substances, and diffused in a continuous carrier phase to form uniform magnetic fluids. When a magnetic probe approaches ultrafine particles applied on a substrate, the magnetic domain orientation of ultrafine particles is changed due to application of a magnetic field, and thus data are stored. By irradiating a laser beam to the magnetic uptrafine particles, and changing a reflectance in the changed area of the magnetic domain orientation, data detection and reading are enabled.
