PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel supply device for an internal combustion engine capable of securely performing air bleeding by just enough air bleeding operation without wasting fuel consumption and thus, of securing favorable startability. SOLUTION: This fuel supply device 1 for the internal combustion engine 3 for supplying fuel to the internal combustion engine 3 is equipped with a fuel tank 4; a fuel injection valve 11 connected to the fuel tank 4 via a fuel supply passage 6; an electric fuel pump 7 for feeding fuel to the fuel supply passage 6; a fuel metering valve 8a provided on the fuel supply passage 6; a fuel return passage 9 branched from the fuel supply passage 6 and connected to the fuel tank 4 side; and an air bleeding execution means 2 for executing air bleeding operation inside the fuel supply passage 6 by opening the fuel metering valve 8a for execution time TAREX set in accordance with detected fuel amount FLEVEL and driving the fuel pump 7 during stop of the internal combustion engine 3.
