<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter which is free from a defect such as surface roughness, has high contrast by using a black matrix having satisfactory accuracy and can be manufactured at low costs, to provide its manufacturing method, and to provide a liquid crystal display which has a constant cell gap and can perform high contrast display. <P>SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of the color filter having the black matrix and colored pixels formed in the region partitioned by the black matrix and having at least one color of R, G and B on a substrate includes a step for forming the black matrix by transfer on the substrate by using a transfer material having a transfer layer for shielding containing at least one of a resin and its precursor and metal particles or particles containing metal on a temporary supporting body, a step for applying and forming the colored pixels having at least the one color of R, G and B, and a step for forming a photo spacer using a photo curing resin composition for the photo spacer on the black matrix. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
